ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of English, established along with establishment of the college institution in 2008 as a Compulsory Subject. From 2013 Department offered Optional English subjects for B.A. Faculty.It comprises of the three streams—Arts, Commerce and Science. As we all know that English is one of the foreign languages and the global means of communication, the English Department offers a dynamic study of literature across historical periods, geographical boundaries and diverse political and social contexts.
The department is actively engaged in the process of teaching, learning and evaluation since its commencement. It has been and being always striving to increase the level of quality education undertaking various kinds of curricular and co-curricular activities for the students. It believes in high performance and quality standards in pursuing the higher education and often forwarded its steps in this regard. Apart from the regular teaching-learning, it also attempts to impart informal education like inculcating the human values among students.
The department provides our students with an education of the highest quality in world literature and cultural studies.We look to have our students become independent, self-motivated learners, confident in their learning and synthesizing skills; we encourage students from diverse backgrounds, minority and deprived rural students to become a part of the main stream through proper communication skills and efforts are carried out to develop their learning abilities.

- To make students job efficient & create skills required for employment & make them self-reliable.

- To provide information of job opportunities in the field of language & literature.
- To contribute in the development of this area by producing potential manpower in the form of students.
