PRINCIPALS RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Through the creation of policies, operational management, the optimum use of human resources, and care for the environment and sustainability, provide the college with inspirational and motivating value-based academic and executive leadership.
- Act with integrity, fairness, and honesty; maintain the highest moral standards; and make choices that are best for the college.
- Assume the responsibility of being the custodian of the College’s resources by managing them effectively, efficiently, and ideally to provide a welcome environment for both work and learning.
- Promote the collaborative, consultative, and cooperative work environment at the college, which fosters original thought and ideas.
- Encourage a work atmosphere and ideals that lead to excellence, professionalism, fulfilment, and community service.
- Discourage plagiarism and other unethical behaviour in research and teaching; Manage their personal affairs in a way that preserves the dignity of their profession; Participate in co-curricular, extracurricular, and extracurricular activities, such as community service. Refrain from permitting considerations such as caste, creed, religion, race, gender, or sex influence their career goals.
IQAC COORDINATOR RESPONSIBILITIES :
- To organise the distribution of information on various higher education quality indicators.
- To coordinate the documentation of the various programmes / activities leading to quality improvement.
- To coordinate the quality-related activities of the institution.
- To co-ordinate the creation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR), which will be based on the quality standards, and submitted to NAAC?
- To plan the prompt and effective implementation of the IQAC committee’s decisions.
TEACHERS RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Anyone who chooses to pursue a career in teaching takes on the responsibility of conducting themselves in a way that upholds the profession’s ideals. A teacher is frequently scrutinised by both his or her students and the general public.
- The teacher should ensure that his precepts and practise are consistent.
- The national educational values that have already been established and that he or she should work to instill in students must be his or her personal ideals.
- The occupation also calls for the teacher to have a kind demeanour, a calm, patient, and communicative temperament.
- Teachers should maintain the kind of moral character that is expected of them by the community.
- Strive to continue your professional development by reading and researching.
- Participate in professional gatherings, seminars, conferences, etc. to share one’s open and frank opinions and detailed knowledge.
- Retain active membership in professional organisations and work to have them improve your career and education.
- Carefully and diligently carry out their responsibilities in the form of instruction, tutorials, practicals, seminars, and research work.
- Abide by the Act, Statute and Ordinance of the University and to respect its ideals, vision, mission, cultural practices and tradition.
STUDENTS RESPONSIBILITIES :
- To preserve honesty and integrity in the classroom. Participate in extracurricular activities as well as lessons, lab work, seminars, and other events.
- Work quickly and accurately to finish the tasks allocated to you.
- Avoid making excuses for their behaviour.
- Interact carefully and respectfully with teachers, fellow students, and other college community members.
- Conduct yourself politely, with consideration for the study and social atmosphere at the college, and in accordance with the rules specified in the student constitution and college catalogue.
- Make use of campus resources and ask for assistance as necessary.
- Identify, create, and carry out a plan to reach their educational objectives.
CONDUCT BETWEEN TEACHERS AND STUDENTS :
- Teachers should respect students’ rights to voice their opinions and their dignity in doing so.
- Teachers should treat all students fairly and impartially, regardless of their race, gender, or other political, social, or physical traits.
- Teachers should be aware of the differences in students’ aptitude and talents and work to satisfy each one of their unique needs. o Students should be encouraged to raise their standards, develop their personalities, and at the same time, contribute to the welfare of the community.
- Teachers should treat all students with respect and avoid acting vindictively towards any of them for any reason. When determining a student’s merit score, only that student’s performance should be taken into account.
- Teachers should help students gain an awareness of the nation’s history and objectives.
- Teachers should avoid influencing pupils against other students, staff members, or the administration.
CONDUCT BETWEEN TEACHERS AND COLLEAGUES :
- Teachers should treat other professionals in the same way that they would like to be treated.
- Be respectful of other teachers and offer support to advance your career.
- Refrain from making baseless accusations against coworkers to superiors.
- Disallow caste, creed, religion, race, or sex in their professional endeavours.
CONDUCT BETWEEN TEACHERS AND AUTHORITIES :
- Teachers should carry out their professional duties in accordance with the law as it currently stands and follow the protocols and practises appropriate to their profession when taking action to change any rule that is harmful to the profession through their institutional bodies and/or professional organisations.
- Teachers should abstain from taking on any additional work or commitments, such as coaching or private lessons, that could conflict with their duties as educators.
- Teachers should participate in the institution’s policy-making process by taking various offices and carrying out the duties that may be associated with those offices.
- Teachers should accept positions and work with their organisations to help create policies for other institutions.
- Teachers should abide by the conditions of their contracts and work with the authorities to improve the institutions while keeping the public’s best interests in mind.
- Teachers should provide and anticipate adequate notice before a change in position occurs.
CONDUCT BETWEEN TEACHERS AND NON-TEACHING STAFF :
- In every educational setting, teachers should treat the non-teaching personnel as peers and equal collaborators in a collaborative effort.
- Teachers should contribute to the smooth operation of joint staff councils that include both teaching and non-teaching workers.
CONDUCT BETWEEN TEACHERS AND GUARDIANS :
- Teachers should make an effort to ensure that institutions keep in touch with the guardians of their students, provide performance reports to the guardians as needed, and meet with the guardians at meetings called for the goal of mutual idea exchange and for the institution’s benefit.
CONDUCT BETWEEN TEACHERS AND SOCIETY :
- Teachers should understand that providing education is a public duty and work to enlighten the public about the educational programmes being offered.
- Teachers should:
- Be aware of social issues and engage in activities that will advance society and, by extension, the nation as a whole;
- Work to enhance community education and promote the moral and intellectual life of the community.
- Teachers ought to carry out their civic responsibilities, engage in neighbourhood activities, and fulfil their obligations to the government.
